Introduction
Zsolt Fajt, an entrepreneur from Budapest, Hungary, with a technical background, the man behind each HEXMAT product. Growing up, he was influenced by his dad's deep knowledge and love of hi-fi audio systems. He learned to appreciate and respect his devices and understood the importance of developing his systems to get the most out of them. This motivation led him to pursue a career as a sound engineer and open a recording and mixing studio in Budapest.
The idea of the HEXMAT isolator was born more than 20 years ago. Changing circumstances provided him with an opportunity to start with the first prototypes, and he became convinced it was a viable enterprise.
The following three years were spent on further development, with more than 100 prototypes made. He tested a variety of materials: polymers, stabilised wood, tropical trees, industrial metal, ceramics, gold, silver, crystals, gemstones, and assorted coatings. During that period, he learned what worked, what did not, and how to turn it into a product. The result made a dramatic impact on sound playback: this was the start of the HEXMAT journey.
